Jodi Benson, Michael Feinstein, Midtown Men Set for Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Season

The Atlantic Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2012-2013 season, which will include a number of Broadway veterans as part of its “SuperPOPS!” programming.

Tony Award nominee and Disney star Jodi Benson will be the special guest for A Very Merry Holiday Pops, December 21 and 22. Michael Krajewski will conduct this annual variety show of popular holiday standards.

The Midtown Men — a singing group composed of Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and J. Robert Spencer from the original Broadway cast of Jersey Boys — will join Krajewski and the Orchestra on April 19 and 20, performing a number of hits from the 1960s.

Cabaret legend Michael Feinstein, who has performed numerous shows on Broadway, will perform on May 24 and 25.

Among the other vocalists who will join the orchestra during the 2012-2013 season are Thomas Cooley, Kiera Duffy, John Holiday, James Laing, Kelley O’Connor, Edward Parks, Brett Polegato, Stephen Powell, Jessica Rivera, and Celena Shafer.

Instrumentalists will include violinists Vilde Frang, Vadim Gluzman, Karen Gomyo, Midori and Itzhak Perlman; pianists Emanuel Ax, Stewart Goodyear, Marc-André Hamelin, Lang Lang, Olli Mustonen, Juho Pohjonen, Yevgeny Sudbin, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Lars Vogt; cellist Alisa Weilerstein; and guitarist Milos Karadaglic.
