Veanne Cox, Floyd King, Tom Story Set for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Merry Wives of Windsor

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced casting for The Servant of Two Masters and The Merry Wives of Windsor, its two final productions of the 2011-2012 season.

The Servant of Two Masters, running May 15-June 24 the Lansburgh Theatre, will be directed by Christopher Bayes. It is a story of magic, mistaken identity, and broken engagements staring Danielle Brooks (Clarice), Liam Craig (Brighella), Steven Epp (Truffaldino), Alan Gilmore (Pantalone), Andy Grotelueschen (Silvio), Rachel Spencer Hewitt (Beatrice), Jesse Perez (Florindo), Don Darryl Rivera (Il Dottore), Liz Wisan (Smeraldina), Paul Edward Hope, and Paul Reisman.

The Merry Wives of Windsor, a bawdy romp in which an impoverished knight plots to woo two wealthy wives, will run June 12-July 15 at Sidney Harman Hall. Stephen Rayne will direct. The cast will feature Bev Appleton (Bardolph), Jarlath Conroy (Shallow), STC Affiliated Artist Veanne Cox (Mistress Page), Michael Keyloun (Abraham Slender), Jimmy Kieffer (Host of the Garter Inn), STC Affiliated Artist Floyd King (Sir Hugh Evans), James Konicek (Pistol), Caralyn Kozlowski (Mistress Ford), Michael Mastro (Master Frank Ford), Hugh Nees (Nym), Kristine Nielsen (Mistress Quickly), Kurt Rhoads (Master George Page), David Schramm (Sir John Falstaff), and STC Affiliated Artist Tom Story (Doctor Caius). Ensemble members will include Remy Brettell, Aayush Chandan, Caroline Coleman, Alyssa Gagaran, Michael Gregory, Aaryn Kopp, Matthew McGee, Anne Page, Ian Pedersen, and Aidan White.
