Casting Announced for DC Premiere of The Mystery of Love & Sex
Arlington, Virginia's Signature Theatre has announced casting for its D.C. premiere of Bathsheba Doran's The Mystery of Love & Sex, running from April 5-May 8.
Directed by Stella Powell-Jones, the play follows complete opposites Charlotte and Jonny, who have been best friends since they were children. Now, as college students on the eve of graduation, they toy around with making their friendship romantic.
The cast stars Shayna Blass as Charlotte and Xavier Scott Evans as Jonny, with Emily Townley as Charlotte’s mother Lucinda, Jeff Still as Charlotte's father Howard, and David A. Schmidt as Howard's father.
The creative team includes lighting design by Jesse Belsky, costume design by Ásta Hostetter, sound design by James Bigbee Garver, scenic design by Jim Kronzer, and assistant scenic design by Jeremy W. Foil.
