The Lord of the Rings In Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring, featuring Howard Shore’s complete score to Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning film, will launch a nine-city tour in Glendale, Arizona on October 12.
Maestro Ludwig Wicki will conduct the concerts, which will feature the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, Phoenix Boys Choir, and soprano Kaitlyn Lusk. The film will be projected digitally during the concerts.
The tour also includes stops in Anaheim, San Diego, Las Vegas, Portland, Seattle, Fresno, Oakland, and Sacramento.
The Lord of the Rings In Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring kicks off a three-year celebration, with concerts of The Two Towers to be performed in 2012, and the The Return of the King to be performed in 2013.
