Steve Martin, Dolly Parton Receive International Bluegrass Music Award Nominations

The nominees for the 2011 International Bluegrass Music Awards (IBMA) have been announced. Sam Rush will host the awards ceremony, to be held on Thursday, September 29 at 7:30pm at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers have received four nominations, including one for Entertainer of the Year. In addition, the group has received nominations for Album of the Year for Rare Bird Alert and Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year for the recording’s title track. Martin has also received a nomination for his liner notes for the album.
Among the other nominees is Dolly Parton, who with The Grascals, has received a nomination for Song of the Year for “I Am Strong.”
