Fourth Wall

In this love letter to theatre, A.R. Gurney uses the stage to explore our place in the world. Peggy has redecorated the living room leaving one wall bare, as if it were a stage set, and her husband Roger can’t stand it. He asks their dear friend Julia to intervene, with comic consequences. Then he enlists the aid of Floyd, a local theatre professor who, alas, agrees with Peggy. Fourth Wall features a little pop-psych, a little silliness, a lot of drama and some great Cole Porter tunes.
