A Night of Absurd Reality

About the Show

Experience A Night of Absurd Reality at the Northwest Actor’s Studio, featuring the one-act plays Power Lunch by Alan Ball, and The Zoo Story by Edward Albee.

Both plays ingeniously explore complex human relationships within everyday settings. Are romantic relationships merely foreplay, or do they fulfill a human longing? Has society forced relationships to become superficial? Power Lunch, directed by Brooke Hills, questions the nature of romantic relationships and the roles of the men and women in them. The Zoo Story, directed by Marie Frederickson, crafts the seemingly mundane setting of two men sitting on a bench in Central Park into a dynamic struggle between classes in society. A simple experience in the park becomes a battle for their place in society. Can they learn to live on the same bench of the world?
