Capital Playhouse presents the Washington premiere of William Finn’s A New Brain. This semi-autobiographical tale gives us the story of Gordon Schwinn, a successful children’s show composer who is diagnosed with a brain disorder that baffles all of his doctors. Given strength and courage by the support of his mother, his boyfriend Roger, and many other good friends, Gordon finds the courage to confront his own fears from life and allows himself to be operated upon. Shawn M. Riley directs, with musical direction by Troy Arnold Fisher.
