About This Show

Can Art in America ever be free from Politics, or either free from Race? For years, the art collection of eccentric millionaire Albert Morris flourished in quiet obscurity, a testament to his unique–and inflexible–vision of cultural cross-pollination. No souvenir mouse pads for this museum; not a single work can budge. But when a prominent African American executive becomes the new director, change comes knocking. This taut, elegant new play, Permanent Collection, weaves a thoughtful thrill ride through some tough territory, probing the currency of art, the ownership of truth, and the state of our increasingly multicultural nation.

Additional Wednesday Matinee March 23rd, 1 pm.
