Master and Margarita

It is springtime in Moscow and the devil has come to stage his annual ball to wreack havoc on a city that believes in neither heaven nor Hell. With him comes his retinue of colorful characters, including demons, she-vampires and cigar-smoking cats, all intent on mischief that will release communist Moscow from its dreary bureaucratic purgatory. Jean-Claude van Itallie’s 1993 adaptation of Master and Margarita is based on the original Novel by Mikhail Bulgakov. Jenny McConnell directs.
