About This Show

In Huck Finn’s Story, a drama with music, Huck, the boy who won’t be “sivilized,” sets off down the Mississippi River with Jim, a runaway slave. They attract a heap of trouble along the way avoiding bounty hunters and finally out-smarting a couple of con artists. But they miss the Ohio River–Jim’s only chance of reaching free land. Hopelessness turns to joy as Jim does attain his freedom, and the unconventional friendship between a white boy and a black man is cemented. Kathryn Chase Bryer directs.
