Hip Hop Theater

Learn the basics of how to integrate theater training and Hip-Hop music to create dynamic dramatic performances in this new modern genre. Learn necessary skills, such as text interpretation, vocal control, performance and delivery to learn how to bridge the gap between respective areas of expertise.

Instructor: Roxi Trapp-Dukes and Jabari Exum
Roxi Trapp-Dukes and Jabari Exum, are well respected performing artists who have acted in over 15 Hip-Hop Theater performances. Both attended Howard University where Trapp-Dukes was classically trained in theater. Exum, has studied music, with a concentration in percussion, has been a professional musician since the age of 5.

Drapp and Exum’s Hidden Pages can be seen as part of the Inaugural Capital Fringe Festival at The Warehouse Next Door on 7/22 at 6 pm, 7/23 at 2 pm, 7/27 at 10 pm, 7/28 at 8:15 pm and 7/29 at 4 pm.
