John Moran directs Jerry Herman’s Dear World in an intimate chamber musical style. Based on The Madwoman of Chaillot, the story takes place during one day in post WW II Paris and is focused around Countess Aurelia to whom “the sun is always shining, right behind the clouds.” Evil is represented by industrialists all called “president” who conspire to level Paris and drill for the enormous lake of oil under Aurelia’s cafe.
