About This Show

William Shakespeare’s CORIOLANUS is the political drama of the title character. Coriolanus is a man of action who cannot fully comprehend the unwritten way of life that pervails in the society he protects. He seeks the position of Consul in the Roman Senate at the urging of his friends, but the people turn against him and he is banished. Coriolanus can no longer fight for Rome, so he joins her enemy. He is then visited by his mother, wife and child and his fate is sealed as he does something he would not normally do?show mercy.
