About This Show

Caribeana is a musical reconciliation of cultures from a region divided by geography and language but bound by the dark undercurrents of domination and slavery. Trinidad’s star rapso group 3 Canal leads an unprecedented collective of artists from Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Washington, DC in speaking through and across the rhythms and dances of the islands: calypso, merengue, reggae, soca and rapso.
