A Wonderful Life

George Bailey is the Everyman from the town of Bedford Falls. Dreams of travel and adventure fill his head and his heart is set on going to college. Family business troubles get in the way and George finds himself running the businesses his father worked so hard to develop instead of pursuing his dreams. When his brother lets him down and his friends seem to have a more lavish lifestyle than he, George begins to think that the world would be better off without him. On Christmas Eve, Clarence, his guardian angel, descends to save him from despair and show him what life would be like in Bedford Falls had he not been born. He shows George that life without him will be horrible for his loved ones and colleagues. Clarence reminds George that he never realized how special he is to the community and that he does have a wonderful life.
