A 300th birthday celebration and dramatization of the writings of Benjamin Franklin, written and performed by Burdette Parks, Benjamin Franklin, Printer, Etc. shows the legend at work in his shop – at his press, setting type and printing. As he goes about his business, Franklin entertains and enlightens the audience with his thoughts, ideas and life stories. In the course of the show, Ben sketches out his life, talks about his love of women, gives advice on choosing a mistress, supports the Constitution, describes plans for a Striking Sundial, prints his own epitaph, challenges us to clean up farts, quotes Poor Richard’s Almanack, and much more!
