About the Show

Six Centuries of Horror on Stage.

For the first time audiences in the Dallas Fort Worth area can experience an evening of “Teatro Breve”, a genre of Spanish Theatre dating back several hundred years, which was performed during the intermission of longer plays. Theatre of Death is a compendium of 6 eerie works dating from the late 14th century through the present day, all dealing with the subject of death, dying, and murder. All the plays will be presented in English. The production is conceived, created, and produced by Mark-Brian Sonna. The six plays to be presented are:

Lover & Death: Anonymous. Romance late 14th century.

13 Minutes: Alejandro de la Costa. World premier, 2004.

Dream Comedy: Ramon del Valle Inclán. 1905.

Mamá y Papá: Agustin Barrios. 1915.

Lament for Ignacio Sánchez Mejías: Garcia Lorca. 1935.

Killing Thomas: Mark-Brian Sonna. World premier, 2004.
