PRT welcomes back Regan Adair, director of last season’s hilarious farce, The Underpants, to direct the Tony Award winning musical, Nine. Guido Contini, a film director fashioned in the Fellini mold, is contracted to write and direct a big budget film, but is unable to come up with a suitable plot. On the verge of a nervous breakdown, Guido begins to examine his past flawed relationships with the many women interwoven in his life. This self assessment entices Guido to act his mature age of 40 as opposed to nine.
Winner of five Tony Awards in 1982, nominated for eight Tony’s in 2003 and winning Best Revival of a Musical, Nine is “One hot number.”
