Medicine, Man

Responsibility doesn’t sit easily on the hero of Jeffrey Stanley’s Medicine, Man, a NASCAR fan fond of his beer, country music, and a tawdry girlfriend. But when his mama falls ill — even unconscious — he’s in charge and must wrestle the opinions of his socially ambitious twin sister, the uncertainty of the doctor, the interests of his mother’s last boyfriend (a preacher man of dubious ethics), and the advice of a stranger in ancient Indian regalia.
