Das Barbecu

Das Barbecu is an outrageous, rollicking, toe-tapping, rootin’ tootin’ musical. Jim Luigs’ book and lyrics, with music by Scott Warrender, have packed Wagner’s entire Ring Cycle into a witty, energetic, Texas fable of love conquering greed. The score collides Texas swing and country in this fun, hip musical in which five actors play more than 30 roles. Opera, country music and musical theater may never be the same again. Songs include “A Ring of Gold in Texas,” “Hog-Tie Your Man,” and “Barbecue for Two.”
