It’s 1942 and we’re backstage at the Republic Theatre on Broadway. In just a few hours the curtain is supposed to rise on a new play by Clayton Farrell (Box Office Poison) but someone has murdered famed director Douglas Mallory.
Who would want to kill Douglas Mallory? Anyone who’s ever worked with him! Harry Hunsacker; his paid-by-the-hour assistant, Nigel Grouse; and Lt. Foster are trapped in the theatre along with the cast and a murderous madman! Do you suppose it’s too late to send flowers?
Cross Stage Right: Die!, by Kurt Kleinmann, is the 2nd presentation in the 17th season, at Pegasus Theatre. The murder-mystery comedy is presented in “Living Black & White.” The play the second in a series of plays by Kleinmann that chronicle the adventures of Harry Hunsacker, the would-be actor turned would-be detective; his assistant Nigel Grouse; and Lt. Foster of the real police.
