Amphibian Productions will give Fort Worth theatergoers a first look at 4 Edges, an explosive new work by emerging playwright Crystal Skillman. When American photographer Palmer Sullan visits a mysterious and unfamiliar country, she finds plenty of material for an upcoming exhibit: indigenous tapestries, local woodsmen, and a horrifying act of self-destruction. But when she returns to her New York studio, she must learn to reconcile the brutal images she captured with the people that she encountered. Produced in the wake of one of history’s most documented wars, the play is a timely and provocative examination of the American eye on a foreign frame.
