About the Show
Join us for a special benefit performance of Happy Hour at Pink Place before our award-winning team heads to the AACTFest National Competition in Des Moines, June 25–29!
This darkly comedic and surreal play unfolds in a pristine, pink living room where The Hostess, an eerily perfect 1950s housewife, welcomes a group of mismatched guests to a bizarre gathering. As the evening progresses, it becomes clear they’re caught in a purgatorial game, forced to confront their deepest secrets, sins, and identities. With characters like The Clown, The Cynic, The Innocent, and an unexpected visitor or two, the show explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the absurdity of life and death.
The evening will feature a live recreation of the official competition performance, including the timed 10-minute set-up, 60-minute show, and 10-minute strike.
All proceeds support travel, lodging, and registration expenses for our national competition team. Be part of our journey—your support helps take us to Des Moines and beyond!
