In-Studio Performance: Rising Voices of Sarasota Contemporary Dance Ensemble

Sarasota Contemporary Dance proudly presents Rising Voices — a special in-studio performance that shines a spotlight on the next generation of choreographers. A spin-off of SCD Voices, this initiative was designed by Artistic Director Lemus Bolaños-Wilmot to provide young creatives with a platform to explore the choreographic process and share their artistic vision.

This performance features original works by emerging choreographers who were once members of the Sarasota Contemporary Dance Ensemble or participants in our summer intensives. Now stepping into the role of creator, these talented young artists have crafted a diverse range of contemporary pieces, brought to life by the current ensemble dancers.

Rising Voices is a celebration of growth, mentorship, and creative exploration, highlighting the power of giving rising artists a platform to be seen, heard, and supported.
