Fundamentals of Improv for Adults

About the Show

FUNDAMENTALS OF IMPROV COMEDY FOR ADULTS: 6-WEEK WORKSHOP

Are you funny? Has anyone ever told you that you should do improv? Have you ever wanted to try? Here is your chance to delve into the fundamentals of improvisational comedy!

Taught by Upright Citizens Brigade and PIT trained improviser Rick Hodder, this six-week workshop is designed to dig deep into the fundamentals of improv, helping you learn techniques to think quickly on your feet and generally be more creative and confident. Students will learn both long-form and short-form improv techniques. While the emphasis in teaching will be on having fun over achieving perfection, students can expect a class, not just games. This workshop will culminate in a Whose-Barn-Is-It-Anyway-style class show performed in the new Black Box Theater. Classes will be on Tuesdays, starting August 26th, from 7-8:30pm. The last class will be on September 30th.
