About This Show

Resonance Works’ holiday tradition returns with a program inspired by the magic of the season! Amahl and the Night Visitors is a holiday classic that tells the story of a young boy, Amahl, his Mother, and their life-changing encounter with three mysterious strangers on their way to Bethlehem. We are thrilled to pair Amahl with The Ballad of the Brown King by celebrated 20th century composer Margaret Bonds, and host the live world premiere of a new holiday work by composer Nancy Galbraith and librettist Sara Stock Mayo.

Masks are required for this event.
In such an intimate venue as the New Hazlett, the artists and audience are in very close proximity, and we would like everyone to have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season. To this end, Resonance Works will be requiring that all audience members mask throughout the performance, except very young children and those with medical conditions that preclude masking. Singers and woodwind players will perform unmasked; all other members of the production will be masked.
