Classical Music Inside Out: AWADAGIN PRATT AND MAXWELL QUARTET

Pianist Awadagin Pratt is acclaimed for his musical insight and intensely involving performances in recital and with symphony orchestras. The Maxwell Quartet consists of four great friends who grew up playing classical and folk music together in youth orchestras. Maxwell Quartet and Awadagin will play together on a piece entitled “Clouds,” a piano quintet by the Jamaican-British composer Eleanor Alberga, who is one of the most prominent Black female composers in the world.
