SHADE featuring Khadijah Davis

Jamaican-American Artist Khadijah Davis Debuts Solo Show: SHADE, Part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Yellow Bicycle Theatre, 1435 Arch St. Fl. 2 (on 15th St.) September 27, 2025 1.00pm & September 28, 2025 5.00pm. SHADE is a poignant coming-of-age story that follows Kissandra, a Jamaican-American girl caught in the conflict between ambition and conformity. Kissandra grows up surrounded by love and encouragement, but as she gets older, she starts to face the world’s expectations and limitations. The show follows her journey as she has to decide whether to shrink herself to fit in or risk being different by staying true to who she is. Through the powerful blend of storytelling, movement, and performance, Davis explores themes of identity, truth, and self-discovery. SHADE delves into what happens when you fully embrace yourself and how that choice can shift not just your own life, but the lives of those around you.
