A Transcendental Night of Baratanatyam Dance

Master Bharatanatyam artist Professor C. V. Chandrasekhar is one of India’s most highly regarded and, at age 79, longest practitioners of the form. After a two-week workshop process with the master, Philadelphia-based dance company Three Aksha presents an evening of Bharatanatyam dance.

Inspired by the overlap of science and spirituality, Professor C. V. Chandrasekhar creates a Bharatanatyam dance piece “Vibhava.” The piece decodes “the Theory of Evolution” through Hindu mythology.
