About the Show

In 1941, German physicist Werner Heisenberg, the head of Hitler’s nuclear program, pays a mysterious visit to his Danish counterpart and mentor Niels Bohr. They revolutionized atomic physics in the 1920’s with their work together on quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle. But now the world has changed, and the two men are on opposite sides in a world war whose outcome hangs in the balance. Could Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been Chicago and Pittsburgh? Michael Frayn’s Copenhagen is directed by Gregorg Lehane.
