La Cage Aux Folles adds new dimensions to the boulevard comedy about a gay couple, whose 20 years of domestic tranquility are shattered when the son they raised together, fathered during a one-night fling, decides to marry the daughter of a conservative politician. Albin and George run a nightclub in St. Tropez, where Albin is the featured performer, Zaza. George tries to modify his living arrangements and obtain a real mother for son Jean-Michel when he meets the future father in-law, with hilarious results. Based on the play by Jean Poiret, the musical features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and a book by Harvey Fierstein.
There is a Sunday brunch matinee at 2:00pm on April 6.
