About the Show
Based on an epic poem by Johann Goethe, the opera tells the story of a man who bargains with the devil and suffers the deserved consequences. It became an operatic hit upon its premiere in 1859. Faust was last presented during Cincinnati Opera’s 1999 Summer Festival.
