About the Show

Clark Center NYC and the American Dance Guild present "The Politics of Movement: When Dance Speaks Out," a two-night program exploring protest, resistance, and social justice through dance. Eight companies perform historic and contemporary works showing how movement has long served as both witness and catalyst. Post-performance conversations with choreographers follow each show. Companies include Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble, H.T. Chen & Dancers, Arthur Avilés Typical Theater, Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama, Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company, Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet, Monét Movement Productions: The Collective and Dances We Dance directed by Francesca Todesco, in collaboration with Catherine Gallant (Dances by Isadora).
