A Dusty Echo is a true North Dakota story. Awarded the 1976 North Dakota Bicentennial Playwriting Contest, the play is written by Bismarck native Ev Miller, a graduate of Bismarck High School and Bismarck Junior College (now Bismarck State College). A Dusty Echo focuses on a struggling family farm during the Dust Bowl era. Dakota Stage is proud to present a story about the strength of family, the power of perseverance, and the extraordinary qualities of the people of Bismarck — a play about our community, by our community, for our community.
