About This Show

Author Pascal Sagratella was inspired to write Opera Buffoonia by an article in the newspaper Liberation about “La tauromachie de salon,” or street bull fighting. This game is played in the streets of southern France and Spain where two people imitate the movements of a bull fighter and of a bull. The play explores the themes of risk in art and in life, being an outsider and the blending of cultures.

This show is part of the Play Outside Theater Festival.
