About This Show

Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, Howie Mandel, Artie Lange, Jim Norton and Brian Regan, among others, will all participate in the six-day run of the 3rd annual New York Comedy Festival.

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. In addition to the all-star lineup, there are several exciting highlights guaranteed to give New Yorkers a break from what normally demands their attention. Returning for the third time is the Andy Kaufman Award, a prize presented to an up-and-coming star in a competition that pays tribute to the beloved comic. Also returning by popular demand is Funny Business, a showcase of surprisingly hilarious bigwig CEOs, hosted by David Moore. Robert Smigel returns to the festival – without Triumph the Insult Comic Dog – when he takes the audience for a look back at his outstanding career and presents clips of his work during Welcome to the Funhouse: A Conversation with Robert Smigel at the Museum of Television and Radio on November 9. New to the festival this year is the first-ever Hot Seat Live, a Q&A session based on the widely read column in Time Out New York and moderated by that publication’s comedy editor, Jane Borden.
