After years of living a life of crime, Maurice is forced into retirement, but his wife, Maurine, isn’t ready to trade in luxury for late bills and a miserable husband. With the mob reclaiming everything—the furs, the cars, the high life—they're left drowning in debt and barely keeping the lights on. Determined to avoid moving in with Maurice’s mother, Maurine takes a job as a tour guide, only to find herself leading a group of unsuspecting guests through a day that quickly spirals out of control when Maurice shows up with Maurine’s diary and begins exposing her deepest and darkest secrets to a bunch of strangers.
