Hampton Theatre Company Opens 2025–26 Season
with “The Thanksgiving Play” by Larissa FastHorse
The Hampton Theatre Company is proud to open its 2025–26 season with the sharp-witted and highly acclaimed comedy, “The Thanksgiving Play” by Larissa FastHorse, running from October 16 to November 2 at the Quogue Community Hall.
Directed by Mary Powers, the production marks the first installment of HTC’s new Celebrating Women in Theatre initiative—a three-season commitment to staging plays written and directed by women, supported by a generous grant from a private charitable foundation.
“The Thanksgiving Play” offers a hilarious and biting satire of modern-day political correctness, cultural appropriation, and historical amnesia. In the story, a group of well-intentioned educators attempts to devise an inclusive Thanksgiving school play—only to unravel spectacularly in their misguided efforts.
The production opens the season with not only laughs, but a pointed cultural commentary
