About the Show

Hofstra Opera Theater ushers in the spring semester with a performance of The Marriage of Figaro, Mozart’s comic opera about love and fidelity in four acts. The fully staged production will be performed at the University’s Toni and Martin Sosnoff Theater at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus. Reimagined to take place in modern-day Las Vegas, The Marriage of Figaro is performed in Italian with English subtitles. The production features musical direction by Violetta Zabbi and stage direction by Hofstra Adjunct Associate Professor of Music Alex Paul Sheerin. Show times are Friday, January 30, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 1, at 3 p.m. The Marriage of Figaro is open to the public, and admission is free.
