Jazz Is Dead — The 30th Anniversary Tour of the Grateful Dead’s “Blues For Allah”

About the Show

Jazz Is Dead embarks from the compass point of Garcia and Co.’s most complex and audacious material, culled from many periods of their storied history. From there, the musical heading is unknown … each performance promising inspired improvisation and new discovery, like the band whose work they celebrate. This performance will be the 30th Anniversary tour of Grateful Dead’s “Blues For Allah.” The music is crafted by an all-star line-up including Jeff Sipe, T Lavitz, David Livolsi, and Jeff Pevar. Special guest star opening for the tour is Tom Constanten — the original Grateful Dead pianist!
