American Girls Visit Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center has partnered with American Girl Place to offer girls aged eight and up a special night of food, fun and activities. The evenings begin with dinner at the Cafe at American Girl Place, where girls can enjoy the whimsical black-and-white decor, delicious food, and excellent service, and finishes with a private, exclusive visit to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center for a special evening including American Girl craft activities, games and singing.

The American Girl Ambassadors, an exciting a cappella performance group selected from the cast of young performers working at the Theater at American Girl Place New York, serenade guests in the unique setting of Top of the Rock’s Observation Deck, which features breath-taking views of the city that never sleeps. Top of the Rock has numerous exclusive features, including two massive crystal installations by Swarovski; the Target Breezeway, a space that showcases state-of-the-art motion-detection technology; the sky shuttle elevators, where participants observe their own rapid acceleration through the shaft, an interactive “beam walk” and the Weather Room, a triple-height premier special event space on the 67th floor.

The Grand Viewing Decks on the 69th floor offer full views of Manhattan to the east, west, north and south, with visibility approximately 80 miles on clear days. The 70th floor, reachable by stairs or elevator, crowns the building, allowing visitors to experience the 360-degree panorama of New York City.
