About the Show
Woman In The Arena is a funny, moving and uplifting one-sided conversation about neurodivergence, trauma, dead bodies, and other lighthearted topics.
Woman in the Arena is written and performed by JEN DIGIACOMO (Popcorn Award shortlist recipient for Best New Writing at Edinburgh Fringe), and directed by TANA SIROIS (“Tomorrow In The Battle”, “Crushing Baby Animals”).
WOMAN IN THE ARENA premiered at THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE where it was nominated for an OFFIE AWARD. The show received 5 stars from WEE REVIEW (“heart stopping intensity”) 4 stars from BINGE FRINGE (“brilliantly staggered storytelling”) and 4 stars from FRINGE BISCUIT, who said the play “lands jaw-dropping revelations with surgical timing” and “leaves you with an open heart.”
JEN DIGIACOMO’S autobiographical play takes the audience on a darkly comedic, unexpected and deeply personal journey that deftly sifts through her remarkable past while highlighting the common thread of humanity that runs through all of us.
