About This Show

Mr. Las Vegas takes the stage in his only New York appearance. No need to get on a plane to see the most talked about Las Vegas showman in history. His famous nickname reflects his over 25,000 concerts in Las Vegas. In fact, the street leading to the front of Las Vegas’ McCarran Airport has been called “Wayne Newton Boulevard” for over 20 years.

Newton’s first professional singing engagement came at the age of six, when he was paid $5 for a performance. He and his brother, Jerry, became a duo and, by his early teens, Wayne had landed his own television program on station KOOL in Phoenix. At 17, Wayne and his brother Jerry started their own Vegas act. When Wayne was 21, Bobby Darin produced his single, Danke Schoen, and it became a hit. Newton is not only a music performer, but also a television and movie actor. This show gives the audience a rare and personal look at an entertainment icon.
