About This Show

Vineyard Theatre hosts There’s Something About Puppets, a panel discussion on puppetry and theatre.

Moderated by Bread & Puppet Theater’s John Bell, a leading expert in the history of puppetry, the event features panelists with a range of perspectives and experiences — from puppetry pioneer Ralph Lee, who started the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade and is founder of Mettawee River Theatre Company; to director Mark Brokaw (The Long Christmas Ride Home), who comes from theatre and is new to working with puppets; to designer and puppet master Stephen Kaplin, founder of Chinese Theatre Works; to performer Jennifer Barnhart, currently costarring in Broadway’s Tony-nominated puppet-and-people musical Avenue Q.

The June 7th event is for an invited audience, with a limited number of free seats available to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis. Reservations are required. For reservations, please email the Vineyard’s artistic department at literary@vineyardtheatre.org or call 212-353-3366 ext. 215.
