The Women of Fosse – The First 60 Years…

About the Show

Dancers Over 40 continue their panel series with this in-depth discussion and performance, moderated by Harvy Evans. The event looks at Fosse’s women, and how those dancers changed Broadway over the generations.

Taking part in the discussion and performance are:

Marge Beddow, Gwen Verdon’s understudy in Redhead (who will be performing a number from the show)

Louise Quick, Fosse’s assistant for the movie Cabaret and performer in Sweet Charity and Pippin

Pam Sousa, original cast member of Pippin and Chicago

Penny Worth, a “Roxie on the Road” from the original production of Chicago (Louise and Penny will recreate the "Manson Trio" – without Ben Vereen! – from Pippin during the panel)

Dana Moore, from the original Dancin’ and Fosse

Special guests include Jeanne Jones Snow – flying in from Indiana — who danced with Fosse and Mary Ann Niles (Fosse’s first wife) in Call Me Mister in 1947 and Harvey Evans, Fosse dancer in Damn Yankees and New Girl in Town who will moderate the event.

Video of Verdon and Fosse on The Dick Cavett Show from the ’70s will be shown before and after the panel.
