The Collegiate Chorale – Prelude Series Lecture

As a prelude to The Collegiate Chorale’s performance of A Child of Our Time, musicologist and author Byron Adams will speak on Sir Michael Tippett’s choral masterwork.

Byron Adams has published widely on the subject of English music of the 19th and 20th centuries. An engaging and entertaining personality, he was Scholar-in-Residence at the 2007 Bard Music Festival, edited Edward Elgar and His World (Princeton, 2007), and has served as President of the North American British Music Studies Association. He is an Associate Editor of The Musical Quarterly and a Professor of Musicology at the University of California, Riverside.
