About This Show

Meet world renowned Author, Artist, and Humanitarian, Richard Schmid, during his premier appearance to benefit NYC’s historic Salmagundi Club. Divided into three parts, Schmid’s incomparable Power Point presentation and lecture chronicles the artist’s exquisite paintings, followed by a question and answer period, and personalized book signing. Richard Schmid shares his exemplary knowledge gleaned from over fifty years of representational painting, during which time he has won nearly every Fine Art Award in America. His richly rewarding commentary highlights over 155 images–many from his private collection and not seen before by the public, with many examples revealing step-by-step sequences from start to finished work. Mr. Schmid’s presentation is being sponsored by West Wind Fine Art, American Artist Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur among others, in cooperation with the Salmagundi Club, during a week long Exhibition, RICHARD SCHMID AND HIS INFLUENCE. The Show’s theme is Childhood Innocence with paintings by Mr. Schmid and twelve distinguished national award winning artists who have been mentored directly by Richard Schmid. The Fine Art Exhibition is open to the public and runs from Saturday, June 6 -13, 2009. For more information visit: www.salmagundi.org or www.WestWindFineArt.com
