Masked within the smoke-filled air of the dance hall, a tale of love, jealousy, tenderness and rage unfolds. Passion Fruit questions the effects of passion on relationships, considering that degrees of passion can create divergent results - ranging from tender affection that can nurture relationships to excessively intense passion that can lead to suffocation, jealousy and eventual abandonment. Sensual, ardent and colorful dance partnering is infused with the passionate rhythms of Argentine tango. Passion Fruit is performed to Live Music accompaniment by celebrated pianist Polly Ferman and the composer and incomparable Bandoneon master Daniel Binelli. Passion Fruit was created in celebration of the 1st Latin American Cultural Week in New York City, November 10-22, 2006. Sponsor and Patron tickets include admission to the post-performance VIP Reception with the artists.
