Philadelphia’s Headlong Dance Theater, renowned for their razor sharp wit, and Arrow Dance Communication, one of Japan’s emerging favorites, offer an energetic performance as these two award-winning companies delve into the humor and complexities of cross-cultural communication.
Born of the media-saturated, hyper-capitalist climate of both Japan and America, You Are So Beautiful journeys into life as a physical weblog, which explores comprehension, culture shock, and chaos. Using the human body as a wireless content provider, Arrow Dance Company joins Headlong Dance Theater in an attempt to seize control of the cultural karaoke machine.
